Steven J. Whitehead is a partner with Marshall & Lueder, LLC,
specializing in labor and employment and general business matters.
Previously, Mr. Whitehead was Vice President, Secretary and General
Counsel for Randstad USA, the U.S. operating company of the third
largest employment solutions provider in the world. While at Randstad,
Mr. Whitehead was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, general
corporate, litigation management, intellectual property, real estate,
employer benefits and tax. In addition to his role as chief legal
advisor to the Company, at varying times Mr. Whitehead also managed
Randstad’s strategic accounts and franchise divisions as well as the
risk management, real estate and credit and collections departments. Before
joining Randstad, Mr. Whitehead was a partner in the Labor &
Employment Group of Troutman Sanders. At Troutman Sanders, Mr.
Whitehead’s practice included defending employment discrimination and
retaliation matters in state and federal court and before state and
federal agencies. He litigated claims under these laws and advised
clients on how to avoid litigation. In addition, he handled labor
arbitration, wage/hour claims and employment torts. Among the industries Mr. Whitehead has represented are: - Telecommunications (litigation defense)

Mr.
Whitehead earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Georgia
State University in l985, and a doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the
Georgia State University College of Law in l988. Mr. Whitehead is a member of the American Bar Association and Georgia Bar Association. |
